Since its launch date in the fall of 1997, the Insurance Department has added content and features to its Internet Website (www.ins.state.ny.us), giving the insurance industry, the legal community and consumers instant access to important insurance-related information. Currently available are consumer guides and publications, proposed and current regulations, licensing forms and instructions for insurers and producers, and links to other government websites. The Department's goal is to maintain a website that is responsive to the needs of consumers, the insurance industry and producers.

As an additional feature of our website, we are establishing direct links to all of our licensed entities that maintain sites on the Internet. Visitors to our website will then be able to link directly to yours.

We invite you to notify us of your Internet address so we can establish these links. Please forward your information, including your company's NAIC number, name of your company, company's exact website address (URL) and the name,title, phone number and email address of a single contact person should the Department need further information. Please submit your information on either a Lotus 123^TM or Excel ^TM spreadsheet through the Internet by attaching it to e-mail.
