This Circular Letter updates and supersedes the earlier captioned Circular Letters, in order to advise motor vehicle insurers of all Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course sponsors now approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The current and complete list of course sponsors is shown below. The latest changes, including additional sponsors, name, address and phone changes, are noted by an asterisk (*).

In addition to the foregoing list of Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course sponsors available to the general public, there are a number of in-house courses offered only to the employees of such sponsors. Information on these courses is not intended for distribution to the general public, but should be disseminated to the appropriate personnel at the insurer to ensure that credit is given for completion of any of these courses by an insured, meriting the same premium reduction as the publicly available courses. Current sponsors of approved in-house programs are:

Literature furnished to insureds about these courses should be revised to provide the proper names, addresses and telephone numbers of the organizations sponsoring the eight courses available to the public listed in this letter. Companies should furnish this revised literature to all insureds with new policies no later than December 1, 1994 and to all other insured, with their next renewal or billing notice, on or after January 1, 1995.
