Chaim and Fani Kost

Chaim Kost was born in Brody, Poland in 1878 and married to Fani Kost née Korn.  From 1912, they resided in Berlin at Innsbrucker Strasse 56 and owned a jewelry and hat decoration store at Köpenicker Strasse 33a.  The couple had two sons, Jakob and Emmanuel, the latter of whom emigrated to England in 1933. In 1938, because they were Polish nationals, their assets were seized by the Haupttreuhandstelle Ost and they were deported to Lwow, Poland.  Mr. Kost perished in 1941 in Osz, Kirghizstan (USSR).
