GOVERNOR CUOMO DEPLOYING DFS MOBILE COMMAND CENTER TO LOCATIONS IN NASSAU AND SUFFOLK COUNTIES

Trained Staff to Help Sandy Victims with Applications for Federal Housing and Business Recovery Aid

NEW YORK, NY - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo is deploying representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for federal recovery aid.

DFS representatives will also be available to assist with insurance-related issues stemming from damage caused by Sandy.

The Department’s representatives will be available to meet with residents inside the agency's Mobile Command Center, which will be stationed at these locations:

Nassau County

Monday, June 17 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
East Rockaway Public Library, 477 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway

Tuesday, June 18 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
85 E. Park Avenue, Long Beach

Wednesday, June 19 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.       
Freeport Recreation Center, 130 E. Merrick Road, Freeport

Suffolk County

Thursday, June 20 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
1101 Sunrise Highway, Copaigue

Friday, June 21 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Babylon Town Hall, 200 E Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst

Saturday, June 22 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lindenhurst Library, 1 Lee Ave., Lindenhurst
