Governor Cuomo Deploys DFS Mobile Command Center to Locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties
Trained Staff to Help Sandy Victims with Applications for Federal Housing and Business Recovery Aid
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo is deploying representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties Tuesday, April 30, Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2 to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid that was approved by the federal government last week.
The Department’s representatives will be available to meet with residents inside the agency's Mobile Command Center, which will be stationed at these locations each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
Tuesday, April 30: Suffolk County
Islip Town Hall, 655 Main St
Islip, New York
Wednesday, May 1: Nassau County
85 East Park Avenue
Long Beach, New York
Thursday, May 2: Nassau County
Brach's Five Towns
11 Lawrence Lane
Lawrence, New York
DFS representatives will also be available to assist with insurance-related issues stemming from damage caused by Sandy.
