Richard H. Neiman Nominated to Serve as Superintendent of Banking

Richard H. Neiman will be nominated to serve as Superintendent of the Banking Department. Mr. Neiman currently serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of TD Bank USA, N.A. Prior to this role, Mr. Neiman served from 1994 to 2006 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of TD Waterhouse Group, a U.S. bank holding company. From 1990 to 1994 he served as the Director of Regulatory Advisory Services at Price Waterhouse LLP. He served as Vice President and Counsel at Citicorp, including General Counsel of its Global Equities Group from 1979 to 1989. Mr. Neiman began his legal career at the Comptroller of the Currency where he served as Special Assistant to the Chief Counsel. Mr. Neiman received his B.A. from American University and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
As Superintendent of the Banking Department, Mr. Neiman’s annual salary will be $127,000.
